Occupational Therapists wishing to become a Credentialled Housing Assessor will need to complete learning and development requirements where they can demonstrate competence before making an application to Enable New Zealand.
A working group of sector experts was formed by the Ministry of Health in 2010 to develop a learning and development programme specific to the Housing Modifications Credential. This programme includes three self-directed on-line modules which provide the foundation for the completion of competence based activities in the workplace. The working group has also developed a resource toolkit including useful articles, documents, checklists and web links. All which are available on this website.
Applications for the Housing Modifications Credential must be supported by your employer or supervisor who completes an on-line declaration confirming your competence.
